ACTR National Russian Essay Contest
In November 2018 forty-five IMSA Russian 2 and 3 students participated in the 37th Annual National Russian Essay Contest, sponsored by the American Council of Teachers of Russian. Students wrote for two hours in Russian on the topic "Free time." 1,390 students nationwide entered the contest this year. IMSA students of Russian were awarded 28% of the gold medals at the Advanced level and 23% of the gold medals at the Intermediate level.
