Executive Summary

The following report documents my experiences and takeaways as a business development intern for Speeko, a public speaking app startup based in downtown Chicago. Using artificial intelligence, Speeko is able to identify filler words and intonation from voice recordings inputted into the app by the user. Speeko then specifically tailors lessons to provide improvement. The focus of this specific business project is to increase Speeko’s market prevalence and digital footprint through direct consumer outreach. Speeko has also allowed my colleague, Mirella, and I to spearhead its “Speeko for Schools” initiative, outreach to potential customers through social media, and optimize search engine results for Speeko’s website. With this project,Speeko has benefited by pushing customers to the BOTF, or the bottom of the funnel.These deliverables ultimately improved the Speeko’s customer base, and hopefully will continue to do so.
