Abstract
We chose UNSDG 3: Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages. During the winter, we noticed that snow getting into footwear may present a substantial hazard to the health and well-being of many people, especially avid outdoorsmen. Once the snow gets into one’s boots, it melts due to body heat, causing a cold, wet, and overall unpleasant experience for the person wearing the boots. To avert this troublesome ordeal, we created the Anti-Snow Seal. The device resembles a coupling in its shape, and functions to fit snugly around a user’s leg and boot to create a tight seal. In addition to keeping out snow, it also helps insulate the legs and feet from cold temperatures. Each section of the Anti-Snow Seal is completely adjustable in order to account for different leg and boot sizes. As a whole, the Anti-Snow Seal is a practical solution to an outdoorsman’s winter headaches.
