Abstract
Fast fashion currently pollutes both the fashion industry and our Earth. Clothing from fashion trends are quickly disposed of after only a few months or even weeks. The consequences of this waste quickly add up. From overcrowded landfills to excess carbon emissions, fast fashion accelerates global warming. Not to mention the hundreds of underaged individuals working in factories to produce these products. All of these consequences just for these pieces of clothing to never be seen again. To raise awareness and further prevent consumer’s participation, our study will examine the negative effects of fast fashion on society and individuals. The importance of this study is to raise awareness regarding the wastefulness of fast fashion, and how we may reform this industry.
