Abstract
Our project is about the correlation between technology sales and waste produced by technology. We expect to see the waste produced differ between various companies and products. We will be able to make conclusions about the most environmentally friendly technology to use. Additionally, we plan to look at how companies source technology andmaterials and how the process of obtaining materials has changed with the exponential growth of technology use. We plan on looking at this data to help inform what technology is most energy-efficient and the effect of mass production of technology on the environment. While looking at different technologies, we will be observing the sales of different models of iPhones and laptops to determine how the innovation of these devices has affected technology waste. Finally, with all the data we observe and graph, we plan to predict how future technologies will affect the environment if current practices do not change.
