Guest Biographies

David Gabrius

David Gabrius graduated from the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy in 1990. While at IMSA David served on the Strategic Planning Team, was a resident assistant, participated in the pilot SSF class, and participated in the Apple Computer demonstration that featured the Academy.

David attended Valparaiso University where he was the recipient of the Presidential Scholarship. At the same time, he was enrolled in the College of Engineering at Christ College and graduated magna cum laude with honors and a degree in Computer Engineering. He served as the Vice President and President of the IEEEComputer Society and was the recipient of the IEEE Calumet Innovation and Leadership in Technology Award.

Since 1994 David has been a Senior Software Engineer at Motorola Cellular Infrastructure Group in Arlington Heights. David is very active in the IMSA Alumni Association and served this summer in the Summer Science Explorers Program. David currently serves on the IMSA Board of Trustees as the alumnae representative, the first alumnae to serve in this role. David resides in Evanston with his wife Jennifer Kleynenberg.
