On 4.12.23, IMSA's library hosted a presentation by IMSA Alum, Dr. Daniel Murariu '99, on how robotics are used in reconstructive surgeries.
Dr. Murariu received his MD and MPH degrees from Tulane University in New Orleans and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh. He completed residencies in general surgery at the University of Hawaii and plastic surgery at the University of Virginia. Dr. Murariu is a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon at Athena Clinic in Honolulu.
He has been recognized as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor, included in Newsweek Magazine's America's Best Plastic Surgeons, and featured in numerous publications, including Pittsburgh Magazine, Honolulu Magazine, and Modern Luxury Hawaii.
Please note! Dr. Murariu will show demonstrations of surgical techniques, so if you get squeamish at the sight of blood or surgical procedures, be prepared to cover your eyes!
