Investigate IMSA’s Problem-Based Learning model in which teachers develop lifelong learners in a student-centered, inquiry-based environment. Participants will experience the PBL problem-solving process from both the learner’s and educator’s perspectives. As a learner, you will “meet” a problem and collaboratively think through its key elements. As an educator, connect to your curriculum and assessment. Discussion will include how students gain self-directed and critical thinking skills and how teachers employ cognitive coaching through the PBL process.
