Dr. Rob Kiely is a member of the history and social science faculty at the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy in Aurora, IL. He also serves on the faculty of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and has lectured frequently at the Adler Planetarium. At all three institutions, his courses in the history of science seek to place scientific thinking into a broader cultural and philosophical context. He earned his bachelor’s degree in biology and history at the University of Virginia, and received his doctorate in the History of Science from Northwestern University in 1996. He resides in Chicago.
