How can games of chance deepen students’ understanding of probability and culture? This session explores how traditional games like Mahjong and Yut Nori can make abstract probability concepts tangible, engaging, and culturally responsive. Participants will experience hands-on demonstrations, discuss classroom adaptations, and consider how to to incorporate a cultural context when discussing probability. Discover playful ways to connect mathematics, culture, and critical thinking through the use of games.
