Description
Too often, Holocaust education depends on fiction (like movies and novels) or on the "onesize-fits-all" curricula created by museums and advocacy organizations. In this session, we explore how teachers can create their own scaffolded, inquiry-based curricula, customized for their students. Participants will come away with a new set of pedagogical tools for helping students to understand how and why the Holocaust happened in the time and place that it did - and its lessons for today.
