Abstract
Zero Hunger, Responsible Consumption and Production
There are currently large amounts of edible food going towards landfills which result in negative effects toward the environment. Food waste can be limited by receiving still edible food from catering services like our, local cafeteria, Sodexo, and providing them to those in poverty. This way, rather than throwing out the remaining food, we will reach out and provide for those who do not have food readily available to them consistently. Our goal is to decrease the amount of food waste while also benefiting the environment and the people receiving the extra food. We will initially be reaching out to our Aurora community and our school cafeteria to carry out our SEV.
