Abstract
Transportation is an important part of everyday life, but as the need to get to other places grows, it is important to keep in mind how the emissions from our vehicles are affecting the world. According to data we found, transportation emissions cover 85% of the emissions released in Maryland. This pollution is not a trend that is unique to Maryland or even the United States. The amount of emissions released from transportation has shown to cause the air quality to drastically drop ubiquitously throughout the world, even in the remote areas of the world. Our report focuses on the amount of pollution caused by aerial transit, to emphasize this important part of this broad topic, as taking on all types of transit pollution is too broad for effective inspection. The air in our atmosphere is important to the health of everything around the world, so it’s important to raise awareness of the emissions going into the air due to transit and how they affect the quality of the air we breathe every day.
