Abstract

One of the most prevalent issues in the world currently is starvation, which doesn't benefit from the fact that almost 60 million tons of food are wasted annually. Throughout many cafeterias at schools, food waste buildup is a constant problem due to irresponsible consumption and production. We surveyed various students and staff at the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy regarding their food consumption and waste throughout the school year. We also consulted various credible sources and analyzed the data provided by them.
