Abstract
We plan to first explain the situation going on with deforestation, environmental destruction, irresponsible irrigation etc. We will then explain what the government is doing right now to work on the problem, specifically what is working and what is not working. This will inform people of deforestation issues. Some examples of problems include the California wildfires, or poor air quality in major cities. Deforestation is the large-scale removal of forests that has consequences such as harm to the environment. This bill aims to prevent deforestation and the action of logging in Shawnee National Forest located in Illinois. By doing so, it will continue preserving the forest and biodiversity, protect it from future deforestation, and set an example for companies against deforestation. It will also help strengthen regulations on commercial logging and promote sustainable land management practices. The bill will also support reforestation initiatives, habitat conservation initiatives, and increased monitoring of the land and inhabitants. By doing this, the bill will help protect Shawnee National Forest and the animals that inhabit the area and continue allowing people to visit the National Forest while advocating for protecting forests and preventing important land from deforestation.
