Abstract
The purpose of this study is to investigate the prevalence and factors contributing to food insecurity among students in impoverished school districts. This comparative analysis scopes across data reported through multiple districts in Illinois to identify patterns and disparities in access to nutritious meals and food services. The combination of methods we will enact include surveys of IMSA students as well as data of nutritional school food value and student food insecurity across random districts within each economic group: (impoverished, underserved, well-served), numerous schools and communities (IMSA students and their past schools).
