Abstract
The purpose of this project is to investigate the effects of sleep deprivation on health and school performance among students in the United States. The aim of this project is to find out how school and life outside school, and life at home, affect a student's sleep and health in general. The focus of this project will be on finding out if students get enough sleep and if they do not get enough sleep, its effects on their stress levels, concentration, and school performance. Students will be asked to complete a survey about their amount of sleep, amount of work, and stress levels. Students, school counselors, and other staff members who live with the students will also be consulted for different perspectives about their sleep and health. The results will be compared with the recommended amount of sleep using research about teenagers' sleep. The results will be presented in a newspaper article and a presentation that is related to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 3: Good Health and Well Being.
