The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs) are a call for action by all countries – poor, rich and middle-income – to promote prosperity while protecting the planet. They recognize that ending poverty must go hand-in-hand with strategies that build economic growth and address a range of social needs including education, health, social protection, and job opportunities, while tackling climate change and environmental protection.
These posters were created by IMSA students enrolled in the 2020 Graphics Design Intersession, taught by Joyce Symoniak. They were designed to raise awareness about the UN Sustainable Development Goals, which have been adopted by the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy. During this intersession, students learned how to create a number of different designs using the Adobe Creative Cloud. They also learned about copyrights, how to create personal logos, manipulate photographs, and layout posters and pages.
