Joshua A. Gerlick
Joshua A. Gerlick is the founder and CEO of EADevices, Inc., a Pittsburgh-based medical device company committed to the evolution of minimally invasive surgical procedures. A graduate of the IMSA Class of 1999 , he began his collegiate career at CarnegieMellonUniversity (CMU) in Pittsburgh, PA, studying international business management and traveling abroad to Hong Kong.
Josh became the first student in eight years to be admitted into an accelerated MBA program for business management at CMU. As a graduate student, he completed ten academic concentrations, four more than any previous student, and was among the first group of students to complete specialized course of study in entrepreneurship. He has earned both his MBA and B.S. Business Administration with University Honors from CMU.
In 2004, he was the recipient of the Canfield-Roseman Entrepreneur of the Year Award and the George and Alexis Vahanian Award for Communication at Carnegie Mellon. He also earned corporate recognition as the National Champion of the Honeywell Aerospace Electronic Systems Growth Challenge, for his role converting aerospace defense technologies into marketable civilian applications.
Josh continues to live in Pittsburgh, where he manages EADevices and provides counsel to other promising start-up companies. He greatly enjoys the local arts and culture scene, frequently attending musical theater, live jazz events, and art exhibitions. As a member of the Young Preservationists Association of Pittsburgh, he actively promotes the revitalization of several economically depressed local neighborhoods.
