Statistics of Depression:
In the US, 6.7% of adults overall have major depressive disorder, meaning they have gone through at least one depressive episode in any given year. Gender, Age, and race play roles in this, with Females, 18-25 year olds, and people with 2 or more races are shown to have make up the highest amounts of adults with depression. (see fig. 1)
