Session A-4: Writing Physics Problems
Session Number
A-4
Grade Level
Grade Level: 11-12
Start Date
1-3-2013 9:35 AM
End Date
1-3-2013 10:35 AM
Description
It can be challenging to create good physics problems since the questions need to be the right difficulty, address the right concepts, be new and different, and have basis in the real world - all at the same time. In this session, two IMSA physics faculty members will describe the process that they go through when creating a new problem. Examples of conceptual, numerical, and integrated problems of differing levels and concepts will be discussed, and participants will work in groups to create their own problems.
Please contact Eric Hawker or Peter Dong for additional materials.
