Description
Women and certain minority populations are underrepresented in undergraduate and graduate physics programs and physics as a profession. Although underrepresented, women and underrepresented minorities have made significant contributions to the field. In order to recognize their work, we take time in our sophomore physics class to study their contributions. Students work in groups to research and then present a scientist that is from an underrepresented group in physics. I will talk about the project and share some of the students' work.
