Friday's event will kick off with a keynote speaker focusing on role educators to build scientifically-literate individuals and communities who are prepared to respond to environmental challenges and further STEM education. Breakout sessions will dive deeper into the areas of clean and renewable water and energy. These include hands on inquiry using daphnia magna as a biological assay, explorations in nuclear energy, guest speaker from the environmental protection agency, and alternative energy solutions. A special emphasis will be placed on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
