Description
Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) involves daily interactions that foster relationships, enhance self-awareness, and cultivate a sense of belonging. In residential schools, SEL happens everywhere—from classrooms, Resident Counselor office chats, and common area campouts. This session will explore how strategies from living-learning communities, like one-on-one meetings and community activities, can improve SEL in traditional schools. Using the CASEL framework, participants will identify social-emotional challenges and discover practical, applicable solutions for their classrooms and school communities.
