Abstract
Architects have a big impact on everyone's life; you are most likely standing in buildings that an architect designed. How do people become architects? Almost all accredited architects have to participate in the Architectural Experience Program (AXP) and complete 3,740 minimum hours as the main way to complete their AXP. This presentation will show the experiences architects go through within their time of this program. I was mentored by accredited architect, Cristian M. Nicolaie. He is licensed in Illinois (US) and Romania (EU). His experience with both the imperial + metric system allows him to provide architectural services within the USA & European Community. This internship follows how to do basic skills an architect would need to do such as surveying, measuring, and housing standards. I used a free student version of the program, SketchUp, and learned about how 3D programs work within the area of architecture. Throughout this presentation different types of homes will be created to achieve the best understanding about how architecture is created throughout our world.
