Abstract
People around the globe consume forms of entertainment for the purpose of enjoyment and to pass time. Although there are several different forms, the ones that would be of focus are the Music Streaming Industry and the Anime Industry. Spotify is a digital music service that is used by millions worldwide. Providing access to over 50 millions tracks and having 271 million active users, Spotify is one of the largest sources of revenue to the music industry today. MyAnimeList is a social networking website dedicated to ranking anime and manga produced by the Anime Industry. MyAnimeList has ratings for over 15 thousand anime and over 47 thousand manga, thus making it one of the largest platforms for ranking the Anime industry. Due to the large scale activity on Spotify and MyAnimeList it can give an accurate representation of people’s general tastes on music and anime.
