Abstract

The Arts, such as music and movies, claims to be one of the most inclusive areas of work to go into, and it is. There are actors of all sorts acting in movies, and artists of all kinds creating and distributing content. But when it comes to getting awarded and praised for their efforts, diversity in the arts community isn't something that shines. Our project is about discrimination and cultural representation in award shows such as the Grammys and Oscars. We will talk about the artists that are being awarded during these shows and how diverse they are overall. Our project serves to shed light on the topic and to show others what is going on in the arts community.
