Abstract
The problems that our service will be addressing is the inconvenience that IMSA students have every time they have room inspections, and their need for service hours to graduate. We aim to address this by providing a trash service that will pick up trash bags from students’ dorm rooms and bring them out to the dumpsters for them on a regular basis. This would cut down on the amount of time that students have to spend on room cleaning, as we would be transporting their trash for them, and would allow the students participating in the program to earn service hours while helping their fellow hall-mates. Students interested in participating would be obligated to perform a trash run throughout their hall every week, through every wing, as long as COVID guidelines permit it. The students looking to have their trash collected have to simply bag their trash, and leave it outside their door prior to pickup time.
