Abstract
Picture a world packed with education. The gift of knowledge would be accessible to everyone. Additionally, the world would flourish with expertise, and the society we know today would evolve. It is evident that throughout the world, there are various countries, nations, and cities that don’t have access to education. Various third-world countries and the people within those cities are unable to have access to the same levels of education as someone in a first-world country. However, with Learn For Tomorrow (LFT), that all changes. LFT is a versatile app that can be downloaded without internet access, allowing students from all over the world to access our app. Our app is an educational app, which will have various information covering 1st-12th grade math, science, history, and a “life” section. The life section details various skills and knowledge that are applicable to the real world, such as how to make windmills, how to generate electricity, and how to create a functioning light. Our app has several competitors, such as Khan Academy, Coursera, Quizlet, and Chegg. While these websites offer educational information about various topics, they require an internet connection and often don’t reach the audience of third-world countries. Thus, my group has created LFT which is not internet-based and can be accessed by anyone with a phone or iPad. Our app will be updated weekly to ensure current, viable, information is on our app. With this app, children from all over the world will be able to have access to education regardless of internet access. Additionally, we are requesting funding from investors that would like to give us money for installing internet cafes in third-world countries in which they often don’t have access to technology or the internet at all. This would allow everyone across the world to have access to education. We are asking for 5.15 billion dollars from investors for the cost of iPads for every person that doesn’t have access to technology, and internet cafes to be installed in countries without access to the internet.
