Abstract

Children's early years are crucial for their development and long-term success, and pre-k education plays a vital role in laying the foundation for their future academic and social achievements. However, the availability of pre-k education is not uniform across the world, and some regions have limited access to quality early childhood education. This study aims to explore the access to pre-k education in different regions globally, including the challenges and opportunities that shape access, as well as the effects of limited access on children, families, and communities. The significance of this study lies in its potential to raise awareness of the global disparities in pre-k education and inform policy and practice to improve access to quality early childhood education. By identifying the common challenges that limit access to pre-k education, policymakers, educators, and advocates can develop targeted interventions to address these challenges and promote equitable access to pre-k education.
