Abstract
As the usage of technology has increased exponentially throughout the world, cybercrime has become a significant problem for individuals, companies, and even governments. But even as billions are spent on cybersecurity and people grow more privy to cyberattacks, cybercriminals only become smarter, using more sophisticated, harder methods to crack. With the rise of artificial intelligence and the possible invention of quantum computing, the issue of cybercrime cannot be ignored. This project aims to examine the increasing cost of cybersecurity throughout the world and the people affected by cybersecurity crime the most. It will look at people of all demographics and attempt to determine why they fall victim to cybercrime. It will then attempt to find the method that is most effective at preventing cybercrime, whether that be informing the masses, putting more resources into cybersecurity organizations, or even incentivizing hackers to work for the government.
