Abstract
Our LEAD project is about helping those with disabilities vacation to reduce inequities. People with many different disabilities often find it hard to find accommodations, and everyone deserves the right to enjoy themselves. Our solution is to create an easily-accessible, user-friendly app where those with disabilities can find everything they need to travel. From food to lodging to entertainment, disabled people will be able to search for which places have accommodations, finding what they want and/or need. Each location will be on a map, and each establishment will have a simple sidebar of information including distance away, phone number, availability, price, and other basic information. Our app will rely on user input and people constantly updating the app to provide for those in need. Lastly, our project targets UN SDG goal 9: industry, innovation, and infrastructure. Our app, Mobility Map, helps people with disabilities find infrastructure that supports them.
