Abstract
Our website, Tutor.Me, is an engaging platform where underprivileged students will receive assistance in educational topics from volunteers. These volunteers will willingly give at least an hour of their time to aid in the students' education. This will be firmly established by a signed contract expressing these terms. The real-life one-on-one interactions are better for the individual utilizing the website as other online resources do not go as in-depth. The volunteers would be readily available from 3:15-11:45 pm, which are the typical after school hours. A student may use this website and its tutors for subjects traditionally taught in U.S. educational institutions.
The first hour of everyday tutoring is free for a range of subjects. After the first hour, the learner then has to pay $10 per hour (which goes to their volunteer) to continue the tutor sessions. This allows learners to still get help if they can't afford to pay for the extra hours. Not only will the students themselves be benefitted, but the volunteers can potentially earn a profit after the initial hour, and they will also receive service hours for the amount of time they spend helping the students.
