Abstract

Right now the accessibility of the buildings and campus at the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy needs to be improved. Areas either not accessible or partially inaccessible that need change include the main building, classrooms, residence halls, common areas, doors and student rooms. The Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy can be difficult for students, faculty, staff, and visitors to use if they have a disability. In order to resolve this issue a review of IMSA funding and budgeting is needed. Also find a way to set aside money, to find grant money and raise money or supplies in order to improve the accessibility of IMSA. Creating a specific list of areas that can be improved and how their accessibility can be improved will be listed as well as a 5 year plan for improving IMSA.
