Abstract

The quality and quantity of sleep among the population has been and is currently an issue. Because of this, the quality of life is impacted negatively across all ages. The project will analyze the everyday lifestyle of IMSA students as well as other existing sleep datasets and propose potential lifestyle changes as a solution. It addresses the UNSDG Goal #3 of Good Health and Wellbeing including its effects on everyone. The lack and/or substandard quality of sleep could lead to type two diabetes, high blood pressure (which causes heart failure, strokes, etc), and obesity. This project proposes solutions for change to improve the public’s perception and understanding of sleep. Ultimately, by grasping the information provided by existing datasets as well as surveys, this project will analyze the factors affecting sleep.
