Abstract
The introduction of machine learning, AI, in schools has become extremely prevalent in the past 5 years for students, teachers, and faculty. An extreme boom in development and usage has taken place despite its introduction many years earlier, with the first artificial intelligence programme being widely considered to be The Logic Theorist, which was developed in 1955-1956. With AI’s current widespread usage, there have been many fears arising regarding creative thinking, educational development, and AI’s ability to replace humans. Through a series of interviews, surveys, and evaluations, we look at AI’s abilities and its place in schools. Doing so we came to the conclusion that AI has purpose as a tool but is ultimately destructive in its replacement of human beings.
